The Kavanagh Group makes a significant investment with the upcoming opening of the new Centra Waterloo Place Derry. The opening of the new Centra Waterloo Place store, in coming weeks, looks to redefine the local food convenience market in Derry City. This new high-end convenience market will employ 30 local staff and feature a wide range of new and exciting food offerings, including a Green Kitchen where customers can create their own salads from a wide selection of fresh ingredients. New fresh and healthy ranges will be introduced, giving consumers quick and convenient access to healthy food options, making it easier to eat and live well.

“The retail market has changed at a rapid pace over the past few years and we’ve reinvigorated our food expertise and merchandising to match consumers changing needs, offering a huge amount of choice through Musgraves and their top class Centra Northern Ireland brand”, says Group Managing Director, Noel Kavanagh Jnr. In conjunction with Musgrave’s NI, the store will also offer the Irish gourmet coffee brand, Frank and Honest, a Hot Wing Bar, and a Fresh Carvery Sandwich range. Customers will also be able to enjoy their meals in the newly designed seated cafe area. “In Centra Waterloo Place Derry, our ambition is to create a destination for great coffee and fresh and healthy food within the store with our new inspiring ranges”, says Kavanagh.

Centra is a leading convenience brand in Northern Ireland for consumers who want a convenient range of fresh, local products. Core to the Centra philosophy is building vibrant communities. Centra stores throughout the province are committed to supporting towns and villages in which they operate, selling in excess of £96 million worth of local products annually.
